Vacuum sewerage

The book contains an extensive presentation of vacuum sewerage, that especially in dispersed settlements in rural areas are a cheap alternative for the conventional sewage of liquid waste. It starts with the historic development. One problem in the past was the domestic valve. In contrary to the domestic valve that works without external energy, the author presents a new developed electrically driven valve. For the line leading, rising and falling by turns, extensive examinations at a testing plant took place. It is to be noted that the entire examinations have been supported by the BMFT.
The book is not a scientific treatise but written for practicians. The draft of the pipe net is especially explained and polished by planning examples. The vacuum pump stations are also explained in detail. It contains complete specifications as well as questions of the value of the offers, depreciation clauses and economicalness calculations. The technical part ends with the building, especially the pipe fitting as well as operation and maintenance.
