How does the SCHLUFF SEWERAGE SYSTEM work?

Pumps generate a vacuum of 0,6 - 0,7 bar in the vacuum tanks in the pumpstation. The vacuum extends via pipes to the domestic shafts. As soon as liquid waste is sucked out under addition of air through the pipe towards the vacuum pump station. The mixture of water and air reaches the vakuum tank in batches. As soon as the tanks are full, pumps transport the sewage to the sewage treatment plant for processing. The water is then treated and runs through a determination plant where the bacteries are taken out. After that, the water is prepared for irrigation.
